Presentation Title: Procurement In the Laboratory
Vincent Foley started his career in Laboratory Science, working in both public & private hospital labs since 1975 in Ireland, qualifying as a medical scientist in 1981 at the Mater Hospital Dublin.
Vincent was head scientist in Microbiology/Immunology at the Mater Private Hospital until 1996 and successfully completed his MBA there. During his 10 years at the Mater Private Hospital, he developed a deep multidisciplinary understanding of all areas in lab science which was key to the future multidisciplinary business development at Cruinn Diagnostics.
Vincent joined the sales team in Unitech (United Drug PLC) in 1996 and in 1998 founded Cruinn Diagnostics along with Jack Nolan and former founders John Moran & Tom Donohoe.
Vincent has been responsible for Clinical Sales & Bus Dev., particularly in the hospital sector. Identifying key strategic areas of growth and bringing on board product partners to meet these goals has been key to success. The peer network & experience provided the tools to develop the Cruinn business & empathise with Lab professionals.
Vincent was instrumental in introducing some key business partners including Siemens-Healthineers, Cepheid, Bruker, and Inova Diagnostics (Werfen).
During the past 25 years at Cruinn Vincent has been directly involved with Multi-Disciplinary Procurement on behalf of the Company and seen how the Procurement Landscape has evolved dramatically in that time.
