Biography

Úna Gaughan Is a Senior Medical Scientist in the Galway Blood and Tissue Establishment and has many years’ experience working in transfusion and autologous stem cell transplantation. Her primary focus is always to try and improve the patient experience and previous projects have included the SAOLTA Group rerouting program and remote issue of red cells to haematology patient in Merlin Park Hospital.  Úna also lectures in Biosafety at the University of Galway
