Biography
Sophia Godau is a registered biomedical laboratory scientist and a board member of the Swedish Association of Health Professionals (Vårdförbundet). She is currently employed as the Lab Coordinator at a cancer research division at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, where her role involves laboratory management, teaching, organizational development, and infrastructure management. Sophia holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical laboratory science from Uppsala University and has supplemented her education with courses in practical project management, politics, labour law, and health economics from various Swedish universities.
Sophia has been actively involved in professional organizations and trade unions in both Sweden and Europe. She has served as a board member of the European Association of Biomedical Scientists (EPBS), where she was responsible for student forums, educational issues, and youth engagement. Her passion lies in developing innovative organizational models and fostering sustainable, modern forms of organization. Key areas of interest for Sophia include healthcare digitalization, youth engagement and education.
