Biography
I completed my undergraduate Medical Science degree in Atlantic Technological University Galway. I was lucky enough to be awarded the Presidents Prize at LabCon 2019 for my undergraduate project work on antibiotic resistance reversal in Klebsiella pneumoniae. I have worked in St. Vincent’s University Hospital as a basic grade Medical Scientist in the Microbiology department since 2018. I completed my MSc in Technological University Dublin in 2024 and I then progressed to a senior role in the department. I was lucky enough to attend training in the National Virus Reference Laboratory on COVID-19 sequencing. This training provided me with some of the necessary skills to tackle bacterial sequencing for my MSc project.
