Presentation Title: Procurement in Laboratory : Panel Discussion
Speaker Bio:
Dr Davis is a lecturer in Strategic Procurement and Supply Management at Dublin City University. Dr. Davis left industry after 15 years in senior supply management roles to pursue a PhD and a research career in procurement and supply management. During his academic career he has worked for Trinity College Dublin. Griffith College Dublin. National College of Ireland as well as being an associate Professor at UCSC, Italy, ESB , Germany, QMUL, London, BUPT Beijing, and ISEE, Paris, France and Kedge Business School, France.
Dr. Daviis has been Co-PI for five H2020 projects in DCU Business School (Total Value €18m). He is currently Exploitation Manager for Geronte. GERONTE will provide new country-specific guidelines and best practices for implementation across Europe and for improved management of older multimorbid patients including improved quality of life and independent living at decreased cost. The value of this project is in excess of €5million.
Dr. Davis is currently involved in helping to develop the procurement profession in Ireland, through education, professional development and training. He is also actively involved in a number of research projects, topics include public private partnerships, innovation in public procurement, impact of technology on procurement process.
