Biography

Dr Jess Bridgen is a Senior Research Associate in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Lancaster University. Her research focuses on developing computationally efficient statistical inference methods for large-scale epidemic models, with an interest in high performance computing. Jess has experience modelling a wide range of human and livestock diseases. In 2020, Jess was seconded to the UK Health Security Agency to support the public health response to COVID-19 and Mpox.
